Renting DVC points and Confirmatin Codes

If I rent points will I get a confirmation number for the vacation? Can I pull that confirmation number up on the disney web page (like when they give you the option of finding a missing reservation and you can put in your confirmation number) and then see the details about the booking?

I know I cannot modify the reservation.. but just curious if I would be able to see it on disneys page! Thanks,

If you rent someones' DVC points, you can get a confirm number, but I don't believe you can pull it up, since it's all handled by the DVC desk not Disney's regular reservation service, and the DVC desk just deals with DVC owners. Ask whomever you rent points from to send you a copy of the reservation - you can at least get that. Oh, you can use that reservation number to check-in, using advance check-in. Hope this helped.

There is a link where you can see your DVC reservation. I don't have the address handy, but if you need it after you book, ask on the DVC boards.

You won't be able to bring it up because the reservation will be tied to the owner's account.

In order to see it on the Disney site, you have to be logged in and since it won't be tied to your log in, it will give the invalid message.

However, there is a way to confirm that the reservation is there and that is www.mydisneyvacation.com/dvc

Yes, I'm renting points for the first time for an upcoming vacation. Just like you say, you go through the 'find reservation' feature, and if I recall, where it ask how the reservation was made, you select "Through DVC" or something along those lines.

It now comes up every time I go to the page, you get your countdown and everything, and its prompts you to check in online at the 10-day mark.
