Renting DVC and online ADRs

We are renting points from a DVC member for a stay in June 2011. The member sent us our confirmation number and I can go to the DVC site, put in the number and our last name and the reservation comes up.

I go to Disney's "normal" site so I can look at ADR's (yes, I know I'm way out, but wanted to look anyway). I do a search using the confirmation number and last name, and Disney can't find the ressy. I am using "Retrieve your reservation", not "Online checkin". How can I make my ADR's at the 190 (180+10) if the computer can't find our reservation?

Do we need to go through the DVC member we're renting points from? I'd feel bad if I have to ask him to make our ADRs.

I'm a DVC member and I make my reservations online with my confirmation number, same as anyone else. I've never had a problem at the 180 +10 mark making them online (done it 3x since online dining started).

The specific area to enter your reservation number on the dining reservation page will take your DVC number.
