Renting DVC and Disney Promos

Hypothetically, if I have rented DVC points for a stay later in the year and Disney comes out with a dining plan promo or park ticket promo, can I somehow tap into that promo even though I have rented DVC points for my resort accommodations?

Not if the promotion is for booking a resort package---those require a (non-discounted) cash resort stay. However, the "stand alone" ticket promotions are fair game.

No, DVC Reservations are considered room only. No promotional pricing applies. You can add the Dining plan for just under $98 per adult per night of your DVC Reservation, I'n not sure what the cost if for kids.
To do this, you will need to contact the DVC Member that owns the points, and will likely need to give them your Credit Card number, as it needs to be added on the DVC Member website.

If an unrestricted ticket promotional price is available, you should be able to book that directly through your MDE App once the reservation is entered. I just priced the dining plan for 3 adults for 7 nights, $2053.56. or $684.52 per person (including tax.}

I've never been able to make the numbers work, even though I do enjoy a table service meal daily. Even for Brown Derby, as my usual meal there is a cobb salad, and the Derby is a two credit meal.

The free dining promo that came out today requires at least a 4 night stay, booked directly with Disney, and with 4 day park hopper. So a DVC rental won’t count.

There are some ticket options that can be booked outside of packages that you can take advantage of that are not dependent on booking a room.

There are sometimes promos not tied to your stay. There’s a great kids ticket promo for the summer they just released. My younger daughter and I are staying on points so I purchased that for her. (I’d already bought tickets for her, but the promo is so good I’d rather use it and take a credit for the other tickets for a future date).
