renting disneyland vacation club points

where can i go to rent points for disneyland vacation club

For the Villas at the Grand Californian (VGC), you'll have to rent DVC points at least 7 months in advance. The closer to 11 months out the better. I rented VGC DVC points about 9 months ahead of my Jan '13 trip, at $10/point.

We have rented 3 times now but could get nothing for or August trip this year, have never had a problem or issue with the renters.

I would recommend a year in advance if you want to rent points for VGC. VGC is a small resort as far as DVC goes. Unless you are an owner there and able to make reservations at 11 months out. It is VERY difficult to get reservations at 7 months or sooner, especially at certain times of year. Be sure to read the renting DVC points forum in the DVC section.

This is becoming more and more true. We own at VGC. We were able to to book a last minute trip this past October, but I suspect that will be the last time that will happen. I'm happy that we have the 11 month booking window!

You can't book a year in advance. For busier times, 11 months is the way to go. For average times, 9 months is usually fine. For slower times, you can go closer to the 7 month mark, or even "walk your ressie" in at the 7 month mark if you are a Florida DVC owner. My friend did that in April 2012 for his mid-November 2012 vacation. In general, Studios fill up first, followed by the larger rooms.

But if you are renting, get it done before the 7 month window opens for Florida DVC owners.
