Renting car at MCO and dropping at port??

Is this possible? Are there any car rental agencies in or around the port? I don't really want to pay for a rental car to sit for 7 days and pay parking... what is the best way around this?

Yes you can rent at the airport and drop off at the port. Here is the link from Dave's site below that will help you out. We booked with Budget for a 1 day rental for around $29 in Feb.

we have rented a car from hertz and budget at mco. hertz you need to take a courtesey bus to the rental location and this doesn't take long at all., budget has a pick up location right at the airport and both agencies have drop off at port canaveral/coca beach area and courtesey vans back to the ship. when your done cruising its just as easy to pick up a rental and do more things before leaving or just continuing on.

When did that special come out? How far ahead of time. I keep watching for specials for our September cruise, but right now it looks like I can only get a deal on cars in May or June. I am still waiting and hoping to get a good deal.

I booked it about 6 months before our cruise and had an Entertainment Book coupon.

There wasn't any for us on our 1 way rental. With taxes I think it came to around $35. We used the DCL busses for our return to MCO
