How are the bikes to ride at Vero Beach? What is the cost per day/week?

To be honest I have been there a few times and didn’t notice. I am attaching the VB rec page. It did not indicate bicycle rentals.

VB isn’t like HHI where bike rental is the way to go.
VB Resort sits on a busy road and the area isn’t

Agree. Not sure there are any nearby bike rental places. You might have to go into VB proper. Even then, as noted, Disney's VB resort sits on a busy highway, so that would be a no-go. You might be able to ride them on the beach, but that would be it, I think. VB is rather a stand-alone resort where you have to drive somewhere to do most things taken for granted at HHI: dining, entertainment, and biking.

Years ago we rented bikes at the VB Resort. I don’t recall the price, but it seemed reasonable at the time.
There are bike lanes on the roads if I recall correctly (will look again next time I’m down by the resort), but I still wouldn’t ride on A1A. The beach, unlike HHI, is not conducive to riding bicycles, as the sand is too soft. We did take them through the túnel and did ride a bit across the street, although not much over there.

We have ridden on the Historic Jungle Trail many times.

Indeed. I knew there was something I was forgetting!! :teeth:

Opps, I meant what is the cost of renting bikes at Vero. We decided to bring our own. We did bring bikes over 10 years ago. One time we rode all the way to a state park near Sabastion. I think it was 9 miles each way but seemed like 100. It was pretty cool though, we saw a Manetee. I think that is rare for the area. Lucky day. Not sure we will adventure out as far as its been over 10 years and we probably have not been on a bike since that time. If you see a couple grandparents with bikes, passed out on the side of the road near Disney's Vero Beach Resort, well we tried, lol.
