Hi,

We are thinking of renting an ECV for the week for my 76 y/o mom. She has a garden view room at Beach Club. Would we need to change our room to accommodate the ECV? Can we charge it in the room?

Also, has anyone rented an ECV from the Boardwalk location, and is it advisable to do so?

Thank you!

No need to change a room to accommodate an ECV. At least one will fit in any room. Yes, you can (should, in fact) charge the battery in your room.

Can't help with BVScooters.

You do not need to change your room to accommodate the ECV. You might have to move a few things around, but not a big deal.

1st rent one from outside of resort there cheaper and will deliver it to you. we have stayed in mod resorts had to back in but will fit and charge there

All Resort rooms have 36 inch wide doorways, while ECVs tend to be less than 24 inches wide.

You can fit an ECV in any size rooms, even the Value resorts. Beach Club rooms tend to be 400 sq ft, compared to only 260 in the Values, so there is plenty of room. At worst you might have to move a small piece of furniture.

This is super helpful. I am so relieved that we do not have to make changes to our hotel reservation. Thank you everyone! DISers are the best. :cheer2:
