Renting a Reservation and MDE

We rented a reservation in Feb for Nov 30. Entered the reservation # into MDE, no problem. Now MDE says one of our reservations needs attention and can't find out what the problem is. They say to call DVC MS. It also won't let me do on-line check-in, offers to do it but says I have no reservation eligible to do that. Meanwhile that reservation is still showing with all the correct information.

My question is, what kind of reception will I get from MS if I call them with an issue with a reservation made with another member's points?
 
You can not call Member Services, they will only speak directly with the member. You need to contact the member from whom you've rented.

Is your reservation one where several reservations were linked into one, if so, online check-in rarely works for those type of reservations.
 
Thank you for the prompt reply. I will contact the member and see what's up. No, this is a stand alone reservation. I just wish the site would explain what "attention" the reservation needs. Although we don't NEED to do on-line check-in is the member the only one who can do this?

If the reservation is showing up in your DME, you should be able to do online check-in...as long as it is a single, stand alone reservation.

There may simply be a glitch in the system. Contacting the owner should get your questions answered as to why you are getting the "attention" message.
 

We are on a waitlist for 1 night at a different resort on the end of this reservation but I didn't think they could be linked. We also have a reservation that we made with our points for May. The alert just says "one of your reservations needs attention" with no indication of which one or what the issue is.

I am assuming that since it is showing up on MDE the reservation is still there. E-mailed the member and waiting for a reply. She rents a lot, has a great reputuation and am assuming she is familier with these kinds of glitches.
 
It may be that the waitlist came through. Remember the new reservation software uses Travel Plan numbers as well as reservation numbers. If the waitlist came through, it could be flipped into the travel plan number.
