Hey all! I have seen a few threads on here but nothing really conclusive... has anyone rented a photo booth for their wedding lately? If so how much does it cost? I think I read that you can use an outside vendor, but did anyone have their wedding coordinator confirm this? If so, who did you use?

Thanks so much!

You can use an outside vendor - so long as your wedding is outside of the parks.

I got a price from my coordinator, but it's on my home computer, I'll let you know how much Disney rents them for when I'm home.

Thanks so much! I've found some pretty good deals online, so I was also wondering if anyone on here used a particular company and what their experiences were.

I know this isn't what you're after, but Disney's price for a photobooth is $2869.00

I really wanted a photo booth, but I'm pretty sure you have to use Disney for an ADH reception, can anyone confirm this? There's no way I'm paying that much, so now we are looking into a caricaturist, but this might be the same rule as the photo booth. If you can use an outside vendor I think you could get one pretty reasonable and I think it would be a ton of fun!

You may have to check with your planner, or maybe someone else on the board knows. But I'm having an ADH reception, and in the contract it says that you must use Disney floral, decor, and entertainment. So a photo booth or a caricature artist may fall under entertainment, or it may not. But I would think it would.:confused3

I was thinking of setting up a "photobooth" of our own, just a roped off section and using our photographer for a short period to take these photos. I haven't worked through it fully in my mind though!

That's a neat idea! Another one I've heard is to provide a Polaroid instant camera or even just a regular digital camera on a tripod in one corner of the venue, along with a backdrop and props that people can use when they pose.

Thanks all! My reception is going to be at the grand floridian, and I'm going to double check with Disney before making further arrangements. Unfortunately I am behind on planning because of the pesky bar exam, but am trying to get everything done now!! Disney's price is a bit ridiculous! I'm going to look into some of the companies I found online...

We were looking into a photobooth for our home wedding before we decided on Disney. The cost it was for a company in our city was just under 2000. But that would have been our favors as well. However...that would have been for 250 guests here whereas at Disney we are only having like 60. So it's easier to justify 2k for 250ppl but 3k for 60ppl thats RIDICULOUS!!! We were also looking into getting a caricature artist. We found some good ones on this website that average around 100 to 150 dollars an hour:

We got lucky though because our photographer sets up what she calls a "Smilebooth" at our wedding as part of our package (which is what we budgeted for) where we supply the props and she supplies a backdrop and unlimited pictures during the reception. So we nixed the caricature artist idea...saved some money and just bought everybody a luggage tag as a favor for 60cents apiece. Everybody will still have memories from the Smilebooth.

I really like the caricature artist idea though. It's a nice momento to have and its more unique than a photobooth IMO. It was just less expensive for us to take a different route.
