My DH has this dream of scoot'n around WDW on a little motor bike..... :moped:

Ok, he just turned 50 this year, what can I say..... :rolleyes2

We'll be staying at the CR. Other than figuring out the logistics of renting a bike ( I guess we would do this in Orlando) would that be just too weird? Are the roads around there the kind you could ride around on a bike safely?

Although, knowing my husband, he'll be "scoot'n" around at 2:00 in the morning..... :sad2:

I dunno about the motor bike idea, but you might investigate the really cool Segway tour at Epcot.

My wife and I did this last November and had a BLAST. You get an hour of instruction, and then about an hour to tool around the World Showcase before it opens (and before you have a chance to run over anyone!).

A LOT of fun :moped: !!

ok - i am guessing that you are not talking about going around the parks here, but around WDW property at/around the resorts and stuff. on the roads. is that correct?

i am also guessing you are not talking about the motorized scooters for those who have mobility problems.

Are you talking about those mini bikes that look like shrunken down versions of street or dirt bikes or are you talking about vespa type scooters?

The vespa type things you could take just about anywhere you could take a car. they would be soooooo cool to tool around WDW in. As long as you could secure it someplace - how nifty would that be?!?!?!?

The other bikes (the ones that are very popular lately) that look like shrunken dirt or street bikes, are not street legal and i can't imagine you being alowed to use them anyplace at WDW. Even at the campground, where you can use bikes and golf carts, they don't allow motorized scooters or bikes.

I wouldn't be caught dead on a Vespa driving the roads of WDW property. No, strike that. I WOULD be found dead...

My opinion, it is dangerous enough to drive a car around property. Put someone on a quiet little bike... :earseek:
