Hi! I looked through the board and didn't see an answer to this question so I'm asking...

My friend and I want to take her son, my Godson, to WDW this winter. He is wheelchair-bound. We do not want to drive the whole way from MA as we would have to stop every few hours to suction him etc. We looked into the auto train, but even that we would have to drive at least 8 hours to Washington DC.

I have looked around at a few places and cannot find a van that we can rent since we would be staying off property at a friend's condo.

If anyone knows of any place please let me know.

Thanks,

Sandy

I'm sorry you did not find what you were looking for.
If you look in post #2 of the disABILITIES FAQs thread, near the end of that post you will find some rental companies that rent wheelchair accessible vans. Most of the companies listed are national companies.
I will warn you to be prepared for the price - it is quite a bit more to rent one of those than an 'average' van.
If there are any companies in your area that sell wheelchair vans, you may also want to see if they rent them of know who rent them. If there is anyone renting them, the place that sells those vans should know.
