Has anyone had any experience renting a van that accomodates an electric wheelchair with the ramp etc. out of the Orlando airport? Is so which company did you use and what was your experience?

We used Rainbow wheels and had no problems at all. They are not at the airport but will meet you there with the van and also for the return. So plan ahead and rent from their site. They have both mini and full size vans.
The only down side is the cost, $80 - 135 depending on how many days you rent. :pug:

We ave not used any in Orlando, but used Wheelchair Getaways (which has a branch in Orlando) when an accident took our van out of commission for a week.
Where ever you rent from, they are expensive. I don't think you will be able to find any that are based out of the Orlando airport.

There is wheelchair accessible transportation from the airport to hotels (Mears, Yellow Cab and DME) and if you are staying at one of the WDW reorts, the WDW transportation in accessible.

we got ours from discountmobilityusa.com and I can highly recommend them. Like above they came to the airport to pick us up. For the 14 days it was roughly $1,200
