Renting a Car

Hi everyone,

I have never rented a car before...we always stay on property and use Disney's Magical Express. For this trip, we (parents) want to be able to relax a little more, and are thinking of going to Club Med Sandpiper Bay in Florida. Has anyone ever been there before? Opinions?
Anyway, we reallyyyy don't know if we can do without Disney, so I'm thinking of renting a car at Club Med, and driving to Disney for the second half of our vacation.

Here's my question: 1. What is the normal cost to rent a (probably a van, we have 3 kids in carseats)? 2. Can I rent in one location, and then return in another city?

the cost is really impossible to state. Depends on the length of the rental, where you pick it up and where you drop it off. Do some research. Yes, you can pick it up at one location and drop it off at another, often it will cost you more than a round trip.

Although Florida is pretty good about one-way rentals, since it is done so much. As mentioned, go to the different rental car sites, price it out and see what you come up with. There are some codes that might apply. mousesavers.com can help you with those. You want to make sure it is a company that will drop you back off at your resort when you return the rental, things like that.
