I've been looking at car rental rates for Orlando from March 31-April 8th. They seem outrageous to me. Is it because it is so early and there are no deals? Can anyone tell me what they paid last year for a week near Easter? It couldn't possibly be $700.00 could it? I have a family of 5. None of the codes are valid for April 2010 yet, so I can't even check that.

Thanks!!

We're going April 10-17th and I have a compact reserved with Alamo for $293. I think that was with a AAA discount. I think I'm going to rebook though through Southwest click n save- an email I got from Southwest. I can get the same car for $230.

Good luck! I'm going to keep looking and re-booking as I find it cheaper!

I was checking a few days ago for our April trip (17th- 24th) and found that Dollar had some decent rates. We're flying into Tampa (not a WDW vacation this time - we're going to Anna Maria Island) and I was able to get a minivan for about $360, including all taxes. I used the Orlando MagicCard corp. code (oi1054). Out of curiousity I checked and similar rates were available at MCO that week.

We're going to WDW from April 17th - 24th 2010 with Delta. :cool1:
We used the discount car rental code from Delta on the Delta web site when we made our flight reservations back in May. :surfweb:
We reserved a Caddillac DTS from National for the week, $293 total. :laundy:
Good Luck all,
Joe
