Renting a car on site or from the airport?

We are heading to the world on May 2, We have started to look into renting a car. If were were to rent a car from the airport we would drop off at the air port. If we were to rent a car while on site, where would we go to pick it up? could it then be droped off at the airport?

Also with new rule for the carry ons would I be allowed to bring a our own GPS?

If you wanted to rent a car while on site, you would be dealing with the Disney Car Care Center (Alamo). They give you a number to call and will send a shuttle that will take you to get your rental car at the Car Care Center. You can return it there or at the airport. In my experience, it has always been cheaper to rent from the CCC and return at the airport rather than rent from the airport. When you are checking rates on Alamo's website just use "orlr72" for the Car Care Center.
