Renting a car for part of the trip?

Hello! My parents and I are planning a trip for the summer of 2014, as my dance studio is hoping to return to perform in June and it'll be my last performance with the troupe. My mother is on dialysis three times a week ( M,W,F ) and we were going to try to stay 10 days, getting there Friday - she does her treatment Friday mornings here at home, so she wouldn't need treatment until Monday. Is there any way to rent the car, say, Sunday afternoon instead of Friday when we get to the airport? And then return it after that Friday's treatment ( since she could get it late on Monday here at home )? We've never had to do this before as we've always had family come in with a car we could borrow.

I guess what I'm trying to ask here is : Is there anywhere we can rent & return a car ON property? Or any service that would bring the car to us? We've never had this issue before so I'm a total newbie and my parents rely on me for planning!

There are two options for onsite rentals the Dolphin, which has national and alamo and The Car Care center (it has a shuttle) in the MK's parking lot.

Yes, you absolutely can rent a car on property. Alamo and National are at the Disney Car Care Center and will pick you up and bring you to their location to get the car. Most of the other large rental agencies have locations on Hotel Blvd.
