Anyone know if it's better to rent a car for 10 consecutive days or rent for 5 and 5 or 7 and 3? Thanks! :sunny:

I think you'd need to try various code combinations and dates to really know but my guess is, depending on the days of the week, you may be able to take advantage of a weekend rate for 3 days then rent for a week. From what I've seen, the daily rate in conjuction with a weekly rental tens to be high. There are weekend coupons in the Entertainment book and check Mousesavers.

Thank you so much for taking time to respond :sunny:
It seems like when I put codes in they aren't applies to those last three days. I've only rented one time and that was last year for 7. I wasn't sure if I was missing something obvious :)

if you rented for 7 days then 3 on the weekend rate, wouldn't you have to go back to the rental location to return and re-rent the car? Seems like too much work to me. Last year we rented a full size car for 10 days through National for $173 total. We actually got a minivan since they were out of full size cars when we got there.

Try a 3 day weekend rental from MCO to Dolphin/CCC, then a 7 day week rental from Dolphin/CCC to mco...

There are weekly, daily, hourly and weekend rentals.

You will be charged the weekly plus 3 days.

There are also rates with mileage rates. you are allowed about 100 miles a day then charged x amount per mile over. you won't find this often, but keep an eye out for it.

Bring it back less than 7 days and the rate reverts to daily. Had that happen to me once and I kept it for the full week. It use to be if you rented for a week and keep it five days they would charge you for the week. And the car is available for rental again an extra two days.

Those daily rates are high!!!

Get the car back on time or you will be hit with the hourly charge too, and you have to be carefull if you go into another time zone. I picked up a car once at 10:am on a one way in florida and dropped it in Illinois at 10:00 am. They wanted to charge me for the extra hour. They claimed the car should have been dropped off at 9:00. I avoided the extra charge only because it was rented on the company code and it is a LARGE company.
