Are there any car rental agencies (preferably at MCO) that will allow you to reserve a Chevrolet Camaro? I know a lot of rental companies will have a "luxury" or "convertible" or "fun" rental option, but I'm looking to specifically rent a Camaro on our next trip to WDW.

We got one YEARS ago as a no cost upgrade when Budget was short on standard mid size cars. Saw a ton of rental Camaros at the parks last year, but no longer remember what company's sticker was on them.

A few rental companies allow you to rent an exact model but it is very expensive. Hertz has the Adrenaline collection through which you can reserve an exact car model, including the Camaro SS, for example. I did a sample booking and it was $250+ per day, however. Availability also is very limited.

Wow that's waaaay to expensive for me, especially considering I can run down to Miami & rent a Porsche for $250 a day!

National or Alamo usually have some on hand, but, nothing is guaranteed.

Theoretically Porsches are available through Hertz at MCO too, but it will be pricey. A Corvette is north of $300 a day. A Mustang convertible is a real bargain at closer to $200.

I have researched and tried for the same car - our friends rented from Alamo last year, they didn't have the car they had reserved (full-size), so they gave them a choice between a Camaro and a minivan - of course their boys voted for the black Camaro - so jealous, and they only paid $110 for the week!!!

It's great when that works out, but if you want to reserve a specific type of vehicle in advance it's going to cost you.

And in my experience the guarantee is not guaranteed! Several years ago I reserved an Infiniti in San Francisco and wound up with a Mercedes and a $100 credit instead. Nothing really to complain about, but if I really wanted the Infiniti and nothing else I would have been out of luck.

Hmm....maybe I'll just rent a normal car. I'd love to zip around Florida for a week in a Camaro, but I'd rather have the extra cash to spend on meals & additional activities at the parks.

I can't speak for MCO but we upgraded to a Camaro in Seattle last August. Our original reservation was for a Nissan Maxima booked with points earned on e-rewards and we paid an additional $80 or so for a 2 day reservation.

It was well worth it! It's been a long time since dh & I were into this kind of car, along with kids came more practical vehicles, but that really was a sweet ride.

Our teens loved it until we toured through Mt. Rainier Nat. Park so getting in & out of the car often. They're a bit spoiled by the electric sliding doors of my minivan. The back seat is small of course so that part was kind of a pain. Still no regrets from me! :goodvibes
