Renter's Insurance?

Anyone know of or find or used a FL insurance company for renter's insurance? Getting ready to start the search & thought I'd ask here first.

Also, anyone know if during the checkin & later Disney gatherings, rental insurance suggestions are offered/discussed?

You may not need FL specific insurance. While I was an out of state college student my parents were able to add my renters insurance to their normal home insurance, not sure if that's an option for you.

Interesting. Ins. agent said no, but maybe I can find an home company that will. Thanks for your response.

State Farm would not provide renter's insurance for Florida. We have multiple policies in Illinois and they would not include my daughter while she was a student in Missouri or a intern in Florida. In fact State Farm does not provide renter's or homeowner's insurance for ANYONE in Florida because there is so much exposure to risk.

Interesting the various experiences, particularly with State Farm...My son was down for Fall 13, and he was covered under my homeowners insurance with, yep...State Farm.

We also have State Farm and when we called they said they wouldn't issue him one but he would be covered under our home owners If he wanted his own renters insurance policy he would have to contact someone in Florida.
