Do we have to buy park tickets to get DDP?

Do we have to get DDP for each day of stay?

If you are renting points from a DVC member, then you can use DDP. You don't have to buy park passes. But, you do have to buy the DDP for each person who is on the reservation for every day of the stay. The member you are renting from can make the call to add this to your reservation.

That's correct, and you must reserve it ahead of time through the owner's call to member services. You will not be allowed to cancel last minute.

Ok maybe silly question but aren't most of the restaurant that are on the plan in the parks??? and you would need a ticket

Actually the list of restaurants is quite inclusive for the DDP and apparently a couple of notable ones not on for 2006 will be for 2007. Almost all not in the parks are on the plan other than V & A however, the top choice at all the deluxe resorts other than the POLY are signature options that require two tickets for one meal. No ticket resquired at all. I'm here on an exchange and got the DDP for 2 with no problems and no tickets required.

To clarify, the Disney Dining Plan available through Disney Travel Co. as part of a package for cash reservations requires that you buy a park ticket to be able to buy the dining plan. It is part of a room/ticket/dining package.

The DVC version, while identical as far as dining options and the way it operates, does not make a park ticket purchase through Disney a pre-requisite in order to purchase the plan. However, a park ticket is, of course, required if you wish to enter the theme parks in order to dine there. But as Dean suggests, there are many restaurants on the plan that are not located in the theme parks.

Just being a little bit picky. It's actually for every night of your stay.

For example, a 6 night/7 day trip means you would get 6 TS, 6 CS, & 6 snack credits for every person on the reservation.

Best wishes -
