BCV: Great resort and pool. The kids were in heaven at Stormalong Bay. The room was nice. We had a studio. Requested higher floor. Pool view, got 2nd floor, street view. Oh well!
Our room was ready when we arrived at 11:30am, so that was a major plus. Everyone was very friendly. Transportation was good. We would definetly stay there again.

BWV: Requested higher floor, paid for BW view. Got 5th floor, right by the Boardwalk games. Great view! We liked the lay-out of this room. We had a daybed so DD was able to sleep on there. DS on the pull-out and DH and I in the bed. The resort was definetly more noisy. The pool was fun also. The slide is great. Just turned 3 yo DD was able to ride with a life jacket. But the kids rated SAB better.
The staff was friendly and helpful. The transportation was good from here too. Only drawback was that when we tried to use our snack credits in the AM, the line for the bakery was always out the door. It would be nice if the BW had its own restaurant, so to speak.

Both resorts the rooms were in good shape. Some nicks and wear, but nothing major. We loved the entertainment at the BW. DS was in heaven, always volunteering to help the magician or juggler. We also rented the bikes and DS did the Albatross Cruise.
It was DD's 3rd birthday during our trip. They asked her favorite character at check-in and I said Cinderella , but she got a card from Snow White and balloons. She was thrilled, thats all that matters.

We had a great trip!

Any questions ask away!

I'm glad you enjoyed your trip. We were @ BWV 9/16-23, it was wonderful!!! What room were you in @ BWV, I didn't realize that studios had both a pullout & a daybed. Do you have pics?

All of the dedicated studios (but most studios are lock offs) have the small daybed. It's more like a parson's bench than a daybed, but smaller children can sleep on it. IMHO, it works better as a bench to sit on while you are putting on shoes or as a "holder of souvenirs", LOL.

roliepolieoliefan - Thanks for the report. Glad you had a good time. Willwe be seeing you more on the DVC boards, now - while you investigate your own purchase? ;););) :teeth:

Best wishes -

We were in room # 5031.

Sorry I don't have pics. The daybed is very small. My DD just turned 3 during our trip and is a small 3 also, so she fit very nice on it. And it also worked out well , with the bedrail, she had a hard time escaping  once she woke up.

I would love to purchase DVC. Its DH that needs convincing. I'll have to keep working on him. He had a really good time and was impressed with both the BCV and BWV. So maybe!

We stayed @ BCV in 2003 on rented points. DH, not being a huge Disney fan, was very impressed. He even agreed to take the DVC tour while we were there. It was very low pressure (actually no pressure), we took the tour, took the info and left. That was in Oct. 03, it wasn't until July 04 that DH finally agreed to buy. We both feel that it was a good decision for us. Dh loves having a 1 br, especially now that we have 3 kids. We just got back on 9/23 from a wk @ BWV and DH has already asked when we are going back. :goodvibes

Great report! Which one did you prefer overall?
I think the BCV, if I had to choose. My kids really love to swim and SAB was at the top of the list for one of the best pools they ever have been to. Plus the resort is a little quieter and the area to get food and refill your mug is more convenient.

BWV are very nice also. The view cannot be beat. Neither are too shabby of a resort.
