Rented points ??'s

I rented points from a member for a upcoming trip in Nov to try DVC. Couldn't wait and bought anyhow but did not want to back out on my rental agreement. Ressie was made but what if I change my mind now 10+ months before the trip?? I still do not want to back out on agreement as I do not think that is fair but what are my options? Can I cancel ressie and have points transferred to my acct or just have ressie made for a later date (we want to go May 2010 also). I think his UY is June.

All of your questions depend on the member you rented from and what agreement you had about cancellation/rebooking/refund. At this time, you can't do anything with the reservation - any action MUST be accomplished by the member who controls the reservation and thus the points.

If the points used were already banked (or borrowed) they could not be transferred to your account.

You should contact the member and see what changes, if any, would be workable in your situation.
