Rented Points - Room Location Request

Hello all

I used to know this but just seem to have forgotten....

When renting points will you get to do a room preference at online check-in? Or should you have the DVC point holder reach out to Disney to hopefully lock in the location?

I would have the owner add your request to the reservation.

It looks like you are at Boardwalk? What room type do you have. BWV has three bookable room types - Boardwalk View overlooks the Boardwalk, Standard View overlooks the front drive, and the rest of the resort is preferred view. If you have preferred view, you can't request a Boardwalk view.

Also, Boardwalk has, in my own experience, been lousy and meeting room requests. In a dozen trips we've gotten our request met only once. Other people do have better luck than we do, however.

DVC does not "lock in" a location for anyone, even members. You can be within a certain booking category, but that is the only sure thing. Everything else is only a request and may or may not be granted depending upon the logistics of what room may or may not be available on your check-in day.
