We are leaving on Sunday
!!! Im just trying to find some answers to some last minute questions...
My sister is flying into Tampa, visiting in-laws in Clearwater, then driving to Saratoga Springs and (hopefully) hopping on a bus and meeting us at Hollywood Studios that night for Fantasmic. (Whew exhausting day, glad its not me!!!)
Ive read on the DIS that Alamo is the "official" car rental company of Disney, so she is planning on renting from them. I've also learned that she will be able to drop her car off at The Dolphin Resort. She will not need a car for the rest of our vacation, and will be taking Magical Express from Saratoga Springs Resort to MCO on our departure day.
My question(s) is:
1. Are their specific times that you can return rental cars to the Dolphin?
Fantasmic is at 8:30 that night, so we will not be back at SSR until atleast 9:30, is it too late to go then? Would it be best to wait until morning?
(We plan to drive to the Dolphin, and then take a bus to DTD and walk to SSR. I assume busses to DTD will be running past this time)
2. What is the charge per day for having the car? If we wait until the following morning to return the rental, how much extra will this cost her? Obviously, we do not want to pay to just have the car sitting in the parking lot of SSR.
3. Is their a parking fee at SSR? We are DVC members, if that matters. I've stayed there before, but we've always used only disney transportation so I've never noticed.
