I was wondering if anyone had experience with something like this, and I have thought of this situation before, but now that I'm really thinking about it, was wondering if anyone knew for sure. Suppose someone rented points, and has a reservation in their name, but then they might like to add a night. Can a second renter then add on to their existing reservation? Or would the second renter need to make a second reservation, and then try to have member services link them or something? Would the person then be taking a chance on having to change rooms then? Does anyone know the specific rules on this type of situation, if there are any?

I'm not sure what you are asking. Here's what I think it is:

You rent from Bob Smith for 3 nights. Then you want another night so you rent from Sally Jones. You would like MS to link the reservation. No, I don't think this could be done by MS since it is two seperate reservations made by two different members. You might be able to ask at check-in whether they could try to let you stay in the room through your whole stay.

If a second member is adding a date, there would definitely be a second reservation. The two reservations could be linked by MS, but you would havew to check in for the second reservation most likely.

If possible, the easiest way to accomplish this would be to have the same member reserve everything for you. There would be one reservation and one check-in.

Good Luck!
