Can we bring our own snorkel masks to Castaway Cay if we have them? We bought a couple of really good ones in 2018 when we spent some time in the Grand Cayman and had rather bring ours than pay to rent them from Disney. Also, how much is it to rent a Aqua trike and for how long is that? And the same with the paddle boards, prices and rental times?

Yes you can use your own snorkel gear, but you will still have to pick up a yellow vest for bo charge.

I have heard that 30 minutes is really all one would want on an Aqua Trike, but how nice are the stand up paddle boards? Would an hour be too long?

I would skip the aqua trike...they look way more fun than they actually are :)

Haven't done the SUP at CC yet, but we regularly use ours at home and enjoy them!

We have brought our own snorkel gear on our last two cruises. They have a rack of vests required to wear while snorkeling. No charge for the vests. You can spend a lot of time out in the snorkeling lagoon. Look for the white buoys which are where the sunken statues and boat are located. To save room in our luggage, next time we won't bring our flippers. I didn't seem to get a lot of help from them. I may just not know how to use them properly.

Really? Not worth it then. Might reconsider them.

My husband and son took the Aqua Trike out 2 weeks ago. Was $28 for 30 minutes. They had a blast, and felt 30 mins was a good amount of time. They saw some rays and had some great views of the ship and island.

Well that sounds good there.

You're a better swimmer than I am; I would still be floating out in the snorkel lagoon if I hadn't had swim fins.
Ha! I'm not a swimmer at all! Without the floatation vest I would be down with one of the statues at the bottom of the lagoon!

You can bring your own snorkel gear.

Disney requires that you wear a snorkel vest for safety reasons. They provide them for FREE, you can get one at the place you rent snorkel gear from, or sometimes from the lifeguard stands.

If you want to rent just fins, they are $18 for an adult. IIRC kids (<10) price is a bit lower but not much. There is no sign saying fins are available for rent, but when we picked up our snorkel gear in December I asked them.

We bring all of our own snorkel gear including our own vests. Mine is hot pink and they allowed me to wear it. We like our own gear because it all fits well but it does take up quite a bit of luggage space. We normally fly on Southwest so we don’t pay extra for baggage so we just bring it along rather than pay to rent it. Personally, we needed our fins to get us out to the sunken statues, it is a long way out there!
