I just wondered how much DVC rentals went up each year on average?

I’m looking to book the Poly next year and I’m not sure whether I should book now or wait until next year. Worried that the price may go up but I’m not sure by how much.

Thanks!

I have same question as I am at the DVC preview right now. I was leaning CCV but Poly is tempting and would be possible better eventual resale sincere price is going up.

Rentals haven't really increased on price annually. Right now, the big agencies are charging $17-18 per point in home resort, and $16-17 for 7 month bookings.

Rental demand has skyrocketed each year. If you want to book next summer, I'd be looking to get a quote and availability as soon as you have firm dates, as you're already within 11 months, and within 7 months for some dates. While Poly is a bigger resort, I would not expect availability to last long past 7 months for a renter.

Thanks for the reply! :)
Yes the rental companies are charging 16-17, but owners on the rental board here are anywhere from 13-16. So there could be a savings. The rentals were snagged at 10 for a while, with the increase of pricing and the direct lodging, rentals have creeped up. Creep is wrong term, they have jumped up and continue to. I don't see it dropping anytime soon. Demand is still high.

Demand exceeds supply. They should be paying owners $16 at least. As cash prices climb (will likely go up circa 20% by Star Wars IMO) the rental agencies can and should be charging more. With increasing buy in and dues, owners want a better rate of return (return is good if you bought a resale 12+ months ago but should be higher)

Demand for DVC rentals currently out strips supply by a large margin. The brokers, like David's, have been slowly creeping up the rental rates to get more owners to agree to rent, but demand is growing every day and the gap only widens more as facebook users hear how they can stay in a deluxe resort for the price of a moderate (or less). I don't see the price of rentals decreasing any time soon, and may increase due to the gap between supply and demand.

Rentals had been at the $10 mark for a very long time while dues continued to increase. The jump was really just catching up closer to the point they should have reached over time.
