We are a group of three families. 5 adults 3 kids. The idea of a rental home would be more flexible. Does anyone have and suggestion?

We have rented our villas from VRBO.COM. They are privately owned. Many owners are from the UK.

Personally, we have rented with family members twice before and never again.

For instance, some people like to leave the villa fairly tidy every time they leave it, others could care less and leave clothes, dishes, half eaten food and wet swim suits all over the house.

Some like to go to bed at a certain hour, others may like to stay up drinking half the night.

Some people's children whine constantly, others, not.

Some people let their children take dvd's out of the villa for the 10 minute drive to the park EVEN though there are signs that specifically state not to remove dvd's from the villa. If you object to this, the other parent (whose name is not on the lease and did not pay the deposit) may tell the other parent to RELAX because the kids will put them back afterward. Then, a week later, when you are dropping off the rental car at the airport, you find a pile of said dvd's under the seat.

Or so I've heard.

My advice would be if you are going to do it to have at least 3 bathrooms with 3 families.

We've rented a 5 bedroom 3 bath villa through VRBO.COM for our next trip at Christmas with our inlaws, (9 in all)and they offer a gurarantee on the rental. Owner is from UK.

We rented from Florida Pool Homes last August and everything was as promised. www.floridapoolhomes4u.com. I liked dealing with a company, we were able to pay our deposit and balance witha credit card.

We rented a 7 bedroom home - twice now as we are 3 families also but I can't find the house name...

I found it on VRBO.com

You should be able to get a 7 bedroom in peak season for around $1400 oer week - we paid $2800 for 2 weeks (we divided this by bedrooms so my family used 2 bedrooms and so we paid $400 for the 2 weeks). We had our own pool, bbq, and we were in Windsor Palms so we were about 5-7 minutes from AK and about 10-12 from the other parks!!

When you go on VRBO.com, you can search by bedroom and bathrooms (get lots of bathrooms!). Our garage was even turned into a games room with Pool and ping pong!! It was a great vacation!

We rented from JuSt Investments www.justincflorida.com and they have been great to deal with. We are heading down there March 31-April 13 and are looking forward to it. My aunt has used them in the past as have some friends just the past January. For 13 days the cost for our condo is $975.00 US plus tax. It works out to about $75/night for a 3 bdrm 2 1/2 bath condo. They also have larger units to pick from. They have been very prompt in getting back to us with information when we have inquired about anything. The condo we have rented is in the Terra Verde Resort in Kissimmee. We rented a large home in Kissimmee in 2003 and this is definately the best way to go. Good luck and happy planning!!

Hi

we just returned from a 2 week stay in Mickey's Clubhouse. It is a 5 bedroom, 5 bathroom house. There were 6 adults and 4 kids and we had plenty of space. We had a great time there.

Just make sure to set some guidelines before you go and things will be great.

You might want to consider Dreams Villas of Orlando. They are the sponsors of one of the Dis Boards.

You can find their website here: www.DreamsVillas.com

They offer 4 bedroom villas that accommodate parties of 10 people beginning at $109 per night.

Each villa has two master suites, full kitchen, washer / dryer and all of the ammenities you would expect. Each of the four bedrooms has it's own TV and a there is a 37 in TV in the living area. They also provide over 50 DVDs for your enjoyment

Check out the website....I think you'll be impressed.

We have done every type of accommodations possible.
Best was renting a house with Sister's family: 5 bedroom.
I agree that Dream Villas is worth considering.

The ONLY thing is we just got back from the Boardwalk at WDW for a week and it was so nice to let the teens walk to Epcot and HS as well as taking buses to parks on their own. We went to Jelly rolls and Flying fish cafe for adult things while they did this.

Downside was they stayed out till 1am sometimes and there was no way to get dressed at 6 am to go out for early coffee/breakfast with them in the room.

VRBO.com is a good place to look - we rented a 4 bedroom with a pool from House of Mouse through VRBO. There were 9 of us. We were about 8 minutes from WDW and we could relax in our own pool in the evenings while the burgers were on the barbeque all for about $1100. CDN for 11 days.
