Rental for 8

We will be a group of 5A and 3C. Which companies are renting 8 passenger mini vans or do we have to go larger?

Would it be more economical to rent two compact cars?

Can some of you let me know what rates you have been getting for around January for either a vehicle large enough for all or a smaller compact vehicle?

We are going in June (Vero Beach-7 days) and have 6 adults 1 teen and 1 child. We are renting 2 mid size cars with National for $160 for each car (taxes inc). It was much cheaper than a van.

Most of the companies rent eight passenger minivans, you have to make sure you are getting one of the larger ones though, like the Strovan, because the smaller ones only hold seven.

I'd be concerned if you are planning on bringing a lot of luggage, because the cargo space in them isn't that roomy, especially if you'll have larger bulky items like strollers.

In that case you might be better off with two full size cars like the other poster mentioned.
