I have been pricing rental cars for a week in May and many of the companies don't have their specials out for that time period yet. But I did find a car rental company that is in the Orlando airport called L and M Car Rentals. Has anyone ever tried them before? They have compact rentals for $119 a week. This seems like a good price. But I have never heard of them before. Anyone have any experience with this company? I know that the major companies will probably come out with specials as it gets closer to May, but I hate waiting until the last minute to get a car.

There are threads going on over at the Transportation board regarding L&M that may be able to help you decide.

Since I've been here reading threads about them, I've heard both good and bad.

I know they have great rates and are onsite too.

I've heard that you HAVE to bring proof of insurance not to have to buy it.

I've heard people say they didn't have the car size they wanted and were out of luck (like someone who needs a minivan)

I've also heard some people say they were great and had no problems.

It's mixed reviews.

Go check out the transportation board for lots more info!;)

There are some good threads on the transportation board. I always use National and Dollar (both at the airport). I've never been disappointed by either. We go to WDW many times a year and always rent a car. There is a special at dollar using the GMF40 code for $159 for full size, so imagine that a smaller car may be available for cheaper. We too are going in May. There are some great special at National too. Also, go to mousesavers.com and check out the special codes for the rental companies. I'm using a $15 coupon I printed off of mousesavers for a weekly rental, plus a 20% off code too. There are some pretty good specials out there. We will be there from May 3-17.

Thanks Guys! I'll check out the Transportation Board and mousesavers.

I'm in agreement about National, I've NEVER had a problem with them so they've indeed earned my loyalty. I've heard nothing but bad reports about L&M so I would NEVER even try them out. There is nothing worse than starting off your vacation on the wrong foot. I personally like to have things go as smoothly as possible for everything. National even lets you pick out your own car from their lot which makes us very happy.

Good luck to you and have a great trip!
