Rental Cars with On-Star Feature

Does anyone know if any rental car companies have cars that has the on-star feature? If so, what type of car was it and what class was it in?

I rent from Hertz, I rent almost weekly and often get car's with their "never lost" system - same thing, different brand. But it seems like I recall hearing about one rental company that's putting on-star in most of their cars???? I just can't recall which one.

The car's that I've gotten "never lost" in were all "premium" cars at Hertz, but not all "premium" car's have it. I know you can request it for an extra fee, I just take what I get.

Thanks By The Sea. I will see if the smaller cars also have it and will call the rental car companies.

They will have to be General Motors vehicles to have "on star"...so if the rental company uses GM's it COULD have it. I dont think too many would, given the fact that it does cost them money each month/year to keep up a subscription....however they may.

and if they do, all they will have is the emergency service...not the full-plate choice with the cell phone, and concierge type services.

If anyone else is intereted in this feature for rental cars, I found out that many companies do not have it or they may have it on their cadillac cars. As for the Avis airport location, they have GPS systems that you can rent for $10.00 when avaliable.
