When I rent a car, I have used National in the past. However, with Costco I can get a darn good discount with Alamo. We want to drop off our rental at the Dolphin Resort so we need Alamo or National. That being said, will we be okay with Alamo? Are they good to work with? Also one more question is Quick Silver worth joining? I know Emerall aisle (?) was to us.
Thanks,

Belle

Alamo and National are basically the same company now, they have merged. You get a bit better service from Alamo then you used to, and a bit worse from National then you used to. ***********, if it is free, will save you time.

I used Alamo in May....I was a bit nervous because of all the negative things I had heard. But, it worked quite well. I rented at the Dolphin, found them to be very helpful, and returned the car at Tampa Intnl. There is no QS available though.

Alamo has gotten some negative reports recently, but most of that was the old "long lines," "hard sell insurance," and "rude employees" stuff that every company gets from time to time.

I have rented from Alamo at MCO many times over the years and have been satisfied every time.

Over the last 2 or 3 years, Alamo has had a lot of great codes and coupons, making them much more popular, so the lines at MCO have been getting longer. Quick silver will allow you to skip the line and go straight to the garage, and will also prevent the hard sell for insurance. You might get a rude employee, but you are no more likely to get a rude employee at Alamo than any other company; I have never gotten a rude employee at any of the rental companies in MCO.

Take the discount and enjoy Alamo.

We had a mid-size SUV through Alamo from 7/15 - 7/23 from MCO and they were great! We didn't even wait 5 min. in line at the airport after our Delta/Song flight landed and we were ready to go with our car before our luggage was even ready. Drop off was even easier.

I used the Entertainment code but I think there was a code for Walmart too on the Mousesavers site that was just as good.

We didnt use *********** or any other program....just the codes when we reserved on-line.

I had also read some negative posts on Alamo but the staff we had (us and other family) were very nice to deal with and no pressure on insurance, etc. I would definitely use them again.

Good luck!

Thanks so much for all your post. :)
We just booked a luxury car from Alamo, We were very happy with the rate, hopefully we'll have great service.

Censorship? - Why? - so what program - hmm - could it be ***********

Yup - but why is Alamo's quick + silver program censored?

It's not.

There is a towncar service in Orlando with that same name that is banned around here (unfairly in my opinion).
