Rental cars on Disney property

Is there a rental car agency on Disney property, specifically at AKL? DH will be leaving us after two days to stay at a tennis camp nearby, and then will rejoin us back at AKL a few days later. I'm wondering if he should rent a car or just go by taxi to Vic Dreydens Star Island Resort.
Can anyone help?

Alamo/national is on site, however, there is nothing at AKL, you can rent at the car care center.

What is the easiest way to get a rental car at WDW, take a bus to the car care center (near MK right??), take a bus and go to one of the hotels at DTD??

Can a car be arranged at the front desk at a Disney Resort??? Please help with details. THANKS!

Dh just called a day prior from the poly and a van came to pick him up and took him to the MK rental area. They take discount, he named a few cards he has work, etc. and took the lowest rate. Once he also rented from the swan/dolphin rental desk. Same company (national/alamo I think).. We got a van both times, plus our airline miles. It was pretty convenient. You should verify the hours of the courtesy van if you need a ride back to your hotel after you drop off the car. I think it only ran to like 7 p.m. and started like 7:30 a.m., I am not sure so verify that.
