I am considering a rental car for our Julyt 2012 visit. We will be flying into Orlando and staying on-site but thought a rental car might be a nice thing to have. Is the airport the only place to rent a car? Is there anywhere onsite at Disney to do this. I would like to use the Magical Express to and from the airport and get the rental once we are checked in. Is there anyway to do this? Can you get the same rates doing it this way as you do at the airport or is it more expensive

Many of the rental car companies have offsite locations. Disney has Alamo/National in two locations in the resort area. One is the Car Care Center,Buena Vista Palace near downtown Disney and the Dolphin. Avis has one near downtown Disney.

Do a search of the rental car companies and see where their locations are.

The rates will vary depending upon a lot of factors. Best to do the research and find what works for you. I believe Mousesavers.com has a pretty comprehensive list of codes and other ways to save money and also locations of different rental companies. http://www.mousesavers.com/rentalcar.html
