We are doing 4 night cruise and 4 days at WDW in July. We need a car Sat-Sun to drive to the port. We then need a car Thur-Mon. to get to WDW and airport. Do you think it would be better to book the car for the 8 days and leave it at Radisson or book 1 day and then 4 days separately?

Probably better to book for the whole 8 days, because you will then qualify for the lower weekly rate instead of 5 days at the daily rate. It will also make your travel between MCO/Port/WDW a lot easier and simpler.

You will have to pay to park at the port, however, so take that into consideration as you shop for rental car rates.

I found that it was cheaper for us to rent a car for 10 days and pay to park at the port than to do 2 separate rentals, if you can believe that. I paid $173 for a full size car from National for 10 days. The parking at the port was $40. I think you can park at the Raddison for free too.

Actually, we ended up with a minivan instead of a full size since they were out of full size cars when we arrived at MCO.

Check www.mousesavers.com for discount codes for rental cars ~ I used a coupon from the Entertainment book and a code I found on mousesavers to save even more money.

Yep. The previous posters are correct. You would qualify for a weekly rate which would be cheaper. if you went the other route, you would be renting 2 One-Way rentals which are a lot more expesive especially since you will not be returning to the same place you rented. The rental car company will charge you for having the car driven back to the original location by an employee.

Thanks - I'm going to research prices for keeping the car. It would be much more convenient to have the car there when we got back then having to go through the hassle of going back to the agency and renting again. I'll post my rates when I get them.
