I have been pricing Full Size cars through Dollar and the best rate I could find has been 159 for the week of Dec 1 - 8. When I checked Travelocity.com, I got the 159 rate but also a rate of 132. Of course I would choose the lower rate but I am a little concerned about the difference. Can anyone provide enlightenment? We actually have an SUV reserved through Dollar at 197 for the week but I am just as comfortable in a full size at the 132 rate. I know this does not include all those famous "add-ons".

Rates do not include add-ons. Every company with cars at a particular airport has the same percentage or flat fee taxes for that location so you can simply shop for the lowest published rate if you don't want any optional insurances. Optional insurance and also the required extra driver and under 25 charges if applicable do vary so you need to shop more carefully for these.

Sometimes you can get a lower rate by calling the rental company (suggest 800, 877, etc. no. only) directly as opposed to book online.
