Rental Car Size

Hello everyone!
I am going to rent a car in Feb when I go down. I was wondering if any of you rental experts would have a suggestions on what size to rent.
There are 3 adults going. I think we will have 3 carry ons and 2 larger sized roller luggage pieces.
I want the smallest car that would be do-able becuase smaller normally equals a lesser price, however I want to be comfortable and be able to all fit.

I guess the minimum you need is an Intermediate (but you'll have to use the spare back seat for luggage). As I se it. you have two options. Visit some of the sites that are specialist car rental brokers. They tend to have prices that are less than booking straight with Alamo etc. Also, they quite often do free upgrade offers so you can pay for a smaller car. Being from the UK I use a couple that are aimed at UK. I am sure others here can point you in the right direction.

Secondly, you could try just booking the smallest size available. They have VERY few of these (if any) and I don't think I've seen any economy cars available the last couple of times.

I use Alamo because you can go to the lot that has your size car and choose the one you want. If there are none you just go up to the next size. last month I had an I4 booked but there were none so went to full size (there were no compacts either so people who had those booked got a really good deal). Obviously it depends on your luck but it you are willing to take the chance....
