Has anyone rented from MCO lately? I just read a twitter post that said rental car pickup is only on the A side. This isn't the end of the world, but it could be a pain if your luggage comes out on the B side.

No need for 2nd one as there are not many foreign tourists arriving to hire cars

Yes, it is, and yes, it is. We had to do that ourselves last week.

I think I saw somewhere that elevators at MCO are social-distanced to one family at a time. That might be a further inconvenience if your luggage is too much to manage on the escalators.

I've never understood why airports don't install Speedramps instead of escalators to make it easier to get about with baggage.

With fewer people there, it isn't that much of an issue.

I can confirm from my WDW trip last week that the “A” side car rental/return is open and the “B” side is closed.

Yes. B side is closed. A side only for both pickup and returns. It has been that way since early April at least. (Probably before then but I rented in early April and again just last weeked July 17-19)
