Can someone tell me if it is better to take the shuttle to and from resort from LAX and then rent a car or should I rent a car offsite at airport?

Is the traffic really bad or is it an easy drive?

I am arriving at 12:50 pm and leaving at 1:30 pm

Any help would be greatly appreciated:banana:

I usually take the shuttle van, reason being is I don't want to deal with driving in the traffic..

I depends, how many of you are there, if less then 4 it is cheaper to take a shuttle, do you need a car at DL for any reason? If not easier to take a shuttle.

Check your prices and budget. We found that when renting a car directly from the LAX area, they charge an extra airport tax/fee  that is not charged at other car rental outlets in the outlying areas of the airport.

In our case, we are taking a shuttle to the hotel, (gotta get used to the roads there first!):car: and then after a couple of days at Disney we will get a rental car from the area (Downtown Disney has Alamo right there) and simply drop it off at the Alamo outlet at LAX when we are done. No extra tax ($25 in our case) and we don't have to get a shuttle back to the airport.:yay:

Use these considerations:

1. budget - number of passengers, $$ to spend etc.
2. are you comfortable hopping in a car right after a flight into LA traffic?
3. do you have to pay for parking at your hotel?
4. how many days do you need a car for when you are not at DL?

Finally, look out for coupons (entertainment book) and last minute specials

Happy Planning!
