I spent a few hours in panic mode when the issue of rental car insurance was raised when using AIrMiles to do the renting. I called my own insurance company and found i'm covered. HOWEVER, yesterday i needed to call teh company that provides WDW with it's trip insurance and it also provides rental car coverage.
Didn't buy it when i made reservation because i know we both have those dreaded "pre-exsiting conditions" BUT fine print showed me i'm a fool .. if i had done it at the time i made my reservation those are WAIVED!!!
I was calling to see if we would be covered if either my very ill father or his very elderly father was to die and was told that YES so long as we cna provide either a doctor's note or death certificate (Rather macabre thought!) all is well.
For only $76 p.p i think it is a steal for the peace of mind for even just the car!!
