We plan on renting a car in Toronto this summer, and driving to Montreal. We would love to leave the car in Montreal, as opposed to driving all the way back to Toronto. Does any of the car rentals allow this without charging an arm and a leg :thumbsup2

Thanks

Hertz is better than Avis for one way rentals but it will still cost more than if you return it to the same location.

Go online to hertz.com and put in dates and locations.

I was pleasantly surprised by the reasonable cost I got renting a one way rental from California to Buffalo. (Avis was about $1000 more).

It varies a lot according to location. If you want to leave it in a place where the rental market isn't as good, they'll charge you an arm and a leg, all right.

I too have had good luck with Hertz for one-way rentals. The thing that kills me is that 99% of promo codes don't apply for a one-way!

Do you have CAA? They're affiliated with Hertz, and the CAA discount does apply!
