Rental Car Dilemna

I'll be needing to rent a van for three days.

I need to be able to get from Point A (the BCV) to Point B (Rental Car Co.) to get it, as I can't rent it until after I check in.

How do I accomplish this? I know Alamo will pick you up and take you to their Car Care center, but I've heard so many bad things about Alamo that I want to avoid them.

I assume I can also take a Checker cab to a car rental place, I'll just need to know the closest place off-site. But I'd rather get shuttled there if I can.

Any ideas? Thanks!

From BCV, you can take a 5 minute stroll over to the Dolphin and pick up a National Rental there...you can reserve it on National's web site if you so choose

Why don't you rent it from the airport and save the cost of the ride to your resort?

National and Alamo are owned by the same company.

Hertz has a place somewhere on the east part of Disney. Over by the on property non disney hotels and they will pickup and drop you off.

Dollar also has an off location site, aobut a 5 min walk from DD Marketplace in one of the hotels. We walked to it last time and picked it up no problem, or you can take a cab from DD, its really close so it couldnt cost too much.

Because I have 6 kids with me and I can't rent a van that will fit a week's worth of luggage and 8 people. I can get away with it for the three days I'm on Disney grounds.

We do the same thing-We have rented from National at the Dolphin resort and it worked out just great! National location code at the Dolphin is ORLR13 - contract ID's and coupons work there but they don't have EA. You have to go to the counter.

It's a nice little stroll from BC or if you want to, you can catch a Friendship boat from the YC dock and they drop you at the Dolphin/Swan dock (it's quicker to walk).

Yikes! Luggage for 8 ! I totally understand now .
