Maybe I've waited too late. The cheapest rate for 6 days is 426 plus tax for the on site rental companies at MCO. We'll there's one called L&M for 299. Has anyone used L&M? Do you know of any companies we should avoid?

We have always used Hertz off site and been very pleased. Very quick shuttle. He have never waited and have been driving out of the offsite lot in less than 10 mins.

I've used L&M 3 times without problem. I will use them again in december. There is a free upgrade coupon at http://www.go2orlando.com (you have to register to get coupons). If you don't want to purchase extra insurance from L&M, make sure you bring proof of your auto insurance (copy front page).

I just got an Intermediate car (Neon or similar) for $24.99 per day at Dollar rental in the airport. If you go to Mousesavers you can find quite a few codes for discounts. Do a search for Mousesavers and then click on WDW, then look for rental cars.
Be careful with any rental car you find, they toss in all those other charges and you wind up paying alot more than you expected. I found that L&M gives you a great quote but they seem to have the highest extra charges so your not really saving at all.
Also, make sure to bring your Insurance card from home if you are covered for rental cars. They try to talk you into that extra and some companies won't let you go without taking theirs unless you have proof that you are covered. Peggie

Hi Peggy,
What extra's are you talking about?

I also noticed that L&M has the highest fees and extra charges. But even when those are added in, I couldn't find any other company onsite that was lower (and I tried all the codes).

I used L&M in May and they were a full $150 cheaper than any of the other companies. As long as you reserve through the site they should not ask you to pay anything higher than the estimated total. I had heard the same thing, that they actually charge more at check in than you have been quoted, but I brought the email confirmation and paid exactly what it said! I was very happy with L&M. We returned our economy car upon getting to the airport, only to find out we would be flying out the next day (long story) so back to L&M we went, they did not have any more economy cars left (note we had no reservation, so they owed us nothing!!) and they gave us an SUV for the economy rate!! Very nice employees inside...outside...sometimes not so much!

BonnieA,

Thanks so much for recommending Mousesavers. We saved tons and got a minivan from Dollar. We've used them before and were pleased.

Somtimes these boards are very helpful.
