Rental car codes..

On a web site for frequent flyers I found a long list of rental codes for Avis cars.. I am wondering if anyone can use these or if at some point I will need to prove my association with the group? For example one that works well for me is from the American Institute of Engineers..needless to say I am not a member..does anyone have any experience with using codes like this? Thanks!

There is a risk that putting in a code that you don't qualify for. They could ask for documentation that you belong to that organization. It doesn't happen often but it does happen. You need to decide if you want to take that risk.

I would suggest using the one of the codes at mousesavers.com that anyone can use. I wouldn't take the chance of being asked for some kind of ID and being denied the discount, but thats just me...

you verified what I was already thinking.. I went ahead and booked with the entertainment book discount.. the others would have saved me only twenty or so more dollars and that is not worth breaking a rule and then worring about it!!
