So we're taking a walk on the wild side and staying off-site for the first time--September 24th-October 1 at the Waldorf-Astoria. This will be our second trip this year, so it presents an opportunity to try something different. I've always sworn up and down that I'm an on-site girl ... so, we'll see...

Anyways I need input on transportation. Initially, I thought we'd rent a car, but now I'm wondering if we really need one. The hotel shuttle looks pretty convenient and there are plenty of options for transportation to and from the airport. More importantly, we are "park" people. Even my 3 year old goes morning to night with the occasional stroller nap. I don't really see us eating outside of Disney or our hotel or going shopping, we never do things like that at WDW. Personally, I love leaving the care behind, but I don't want to feel trapped anywhere..

I'd like to hear what experiences people have had with transportation at Hilton Bonnet Creek or WA. Any thoughts are appreciated.

Thanks in advance! :cheer2:

I haven't used it yet, but I will in May. :cool1:  :yay:

From my research: the shuttles are big motor coaches. They leave every 30 minutes. Almost every one goes to MK, then other parks. They start at either 8 or 8:30 AM, so if you plan on an early onsite breakfast anywhere, you would need to take a cab.

If you do decide you need a car for the day, there is a Hertz desk at the Hilton.

Awesome, Lisa, thanks! I think we're going to try without the car and rent if it seems like we need one. Can't wait to hear about your May trip!
