We are staying at the Beach Club this year and we are renting a car because we are going to Sea World one day and also because we will have a 3 1/2 month old with us and you never know if you'll need something in the middle of the night! :goodvibes

I have a few questions though:

Does the Beach Club charge a daily rate?

Would you take the rental car or bus to MK, AK, and DTD from the beach club?

Can we have our luggage sent via magical express but instead of using the bus we take our rental car? That way we're not dragging all of our luggage all around the airport! On the way to the beach club, my children and I want to ride the me bus, but on the way home, I'd rather use the rental car so we don't have to be there 3 hours before our flight home to use the me bus. Last year we did that and we had a 2 hour wait in the airport - I would much rather spend that time in the MK or DTD!

Thanks!

Going home you can check baggage at your resort depending on your airline and the time of day (about 5 AM to 1 PM). This part is unrelated to Magical Express or its usage.

There is no parking fee at the Beach Club.

I would prefer the Disney bus to MK, tossup for AK most of the time, rental car slightly preferred for DTD. Disney bus highly and strongly advised for AK breakfasts since the parking lot there doesn't always open in timely fashion.

Disney does not charge for resort parking. We drive to all the parks and DTD.
When going to DTD area there are several parking lots. Just use the Marketplace entrance if going to World of Disney. The lot gets more full in the evening but, there is someone always leaving.
We like having our car, because buses can be full and when your ready to leave the parks you don't have to wait for bus to show up. Our niece got sick one time and was glad we did not have to put her on a bus with everyone else.
Just call 407-284-1251 (bags) to pay baggage fees before you head to RAC counter. They will give you a confirmation number that the RAC person will need. They will check you in, print your boarding passes, and transport your bags to the airport. All you have to do is pick them up at home airport. (great service) (Tip the RAC guy who takes your bags) When you check in or at some point while there ask where the RAC counter is so you know where to go ahead of time. As other posted hours are 5am-1pm.

Yes, you can ride the DME bus to BC, but not use it for the return to the airport. In fact, that is a good solution. Even if your dh wants to get the rental car, the rest of you can ride the bus...it's a fun way to start the trip with little ones. They seem to get really excited on the bus.
I would certainly use the car to get to DTD from BC...it's about 8-10 mins with a car....much, much longer with Disney buses. For MK, I would use the buses....you have to park at the TTC and then take either the ferry or monorail to MK, vs hopping off the bus a short walk from the main gates.
AK? 6 of one, half dozen of another, so to speak. Up to you.

If you are flying home on a 'participating airline', you will be able to check your bags right at the resort rather than lugging them back to the airport with you. And you can do that no matter how you return to the airport! Then, you get rid of those checked bags, get your boarding passes issued, and you can drive back in your rental car at your own pace. But, you have to be on one of those specific airlines....not everyone is able to do this.

thanks everyone! That's exactly what we'll do! My kids LOVE riding the ME bus to the resort! That little movie gets them so excited!
