Hi all,
From my research, it looks like Budget and Avis are the only one. Does anyone know of any others? And which car rental place is more convenient?

I have quotes from Alamo - Disney Car Care, and, Avis and Budget. Both about the same $266 for 1 week. Not sure if I should go with Budget as I could add another driver free OR just go with Alamo. Different cars at each place - is one easier to get to then the other?

Thanks, we're a family of 5 coming in from Sanford. I have transportation from the airport booked but am thinking a rental maybe necessary while at Disney to go offsite to other restaurants/groceries...etc.

Thanks for any advice
Joanne

Neither one of them is particularly convenient to WDW resorts. THere is a Budget counter at the Doubletree in DTD. They can possibly come and get you and bring you back to the Doubletree to get your car. Most likely the same with Avis..just not sure where they are located.
I would actually suggest renting from Budget right at Sanford. You are probably paying close to $200 for r/t car service from Sanford. It's an easy drive, and the Budget (and other companies) counter right next to baggage claim. Very easy to do.

Alamo insiders is free to join and it allows for a free additional driver. Emerald Club is free to join and allows some additional drivers for free. It is outlined in their member agreement. It does allow for family members living at the same address with a valid driver's license to be added at no charge.

Thank you! I joined Alamo insiders and it helped.

I have a limo booked to take us to our resort...thats why I was getting a rental later in the trip BUT as I add up the dollars it seems quite expensive for my wallet. But I wanted to really surprise the kids with a limo...we shall see.

thank you for your reply.
