Can y'all tell me what the deal is with renting strollers? My SIL, who is going at the same time as us in less than 2 weeks :cool1: , was asking me this morning about strollers, and that's just something I don't know about. Can you rent them at the hotel? (They are staying at WL.) She said something about "renting it ahead of time". I guess that means you can pay for it at the hotel and then just show the receipt at the parks to actually get the stroller. Does that make sense and is that how it works? I'm guessing they don't actually give you the stroller at WL.

I'd love to get some intel on this so I can show SIL how much I know about everything Disney! Thanks so much!

I don't think I've ever seen that you can rent one at the hotel. The advantage of bringing your stroller from home is that you have it at the hotel if you need it. If she has a young child that will be in a stroller most of the time and is she is staying very long, I'd tell her to bring her own. The rental strollers are good, but don't look comfy at all!

I have never heard of renting strollers at the hotel nor even paying for them at the hotel. Ihave heard of paying for the length og stay rental, but that is usually done where you get the strollers in the parks.

You have to rent the stroller at the park - you can do a "legnth of stay" rental where you pay for the entire trip's worth of stroller rental the first time you are at a park - we do this everytime. It saves a few bucks, plus then you only have to show your receipt to pick up a new stroller at any of the parks.

There are outside businesses that will rent you a stroller and deliver it to and pick it up from your WDW resort. www.abbf.com is the only one I know of.

But as far as Disney rental strollers, that can be done ONLY inside the parks. WL or any other WDW resort can't do a single thing for you regarding rentals, any more than they can get you a FASTPASS for a ride.

And by the way, to get a discount and other advantages you don't have to rent a stroller for your entire length of stay. You just tell them how many days you want to rent for (for example, if you are staying for a week but are only going to be inside parks and using a rental stroller for 5 days, you only pay for 5 days, not for a week). The stroller rental CMs don't know how long your length of stay is, and they don't care.:goodvibes

Thanks, everyone! That's just what we needed to know!

Does anyone know the cost of a rental? I'm trying to decide if would be more cost effective to just buy one.

First of all, :welcome: :disrocks:

Single strollers are $10/day. Doubles are $18/day. If you pay in advance for multiple days, there is a $2/day discount.
