Rent Scooter or Bring My Own?

I’m debating whether to bring my scooter from home or rent one. I’ve done both and there are pros and cons to both but this time I will be solo and breaking the scooter down and putting it together (I will have a rental car) all week long might be too hard on me plus I don’t want to run the risk of injuring myself. Plus and more importantly, I really hate going through the airport with it. TSA is such a hassle, checking in at the airline counter is a long hassle and waiting for them to bring it up to the gate takes forever. On the other hand, I love driving my own and I love how maneuverable it is and I have my own cushion, plus it would save money not having to rent.

So I keep going back and forth and I’m curious if you guys were going solo and needed a scooter at the parks and had the choice between your own or a rental, what would you do?

If you aren’t planning to take your own scooter and are going to rent, how are you planning to transport it if you have a rental car for the week?

If it were me, I’d forgo the rental car (unless you’re staying off property and then that still leaves the question of how you would transport either your scooter or a rental). I would rent a scooter and just use dime transportation—less hassle all around and you won’t run the til of damage to your on scooter.

Yes, I should have added I would cancel the rental car and save more money there too. Good point. Ty.

I'm staying at Boardwalk Inn, so I only have to get myself to MK and AK and maybe DS. I could just use accessible Minnie Van too.

I have one, but at Disney I rent. One BIG reason is that if I bring my own and it breaks down, I have to rely on the kindness of strangers. But if I rent and have problems, call and get a new one.
