We leave for our very first Disney trip in 5 days! :D We have a 4 1/2 year old and an almost 3 year old. Should we rent a double stroller or bring our own? We currently only own a single stroller (our 4 1/2 year old is pretty big and walks everywhere), but we are considering buying a Sit 'n Stand stroller for the trip. Do you prefer your own stroller (and if so, any recommendations for a 3 and 5 year old since mine are about to turn those ages?) or are the rented strollers okay?

Welcome to the DISboards!

I am bringing a 4.5 and a 2.5 year old to the parks. I have Peg Perego PLiko with a step for dd to stand on. I am planning on just using that and renting a stroller for her later in the day of she needs it.

I would buy and bring the stroller. I think you will find it a blessing in the airport and around the resort, as well as the long distance (or so it feels) at the end of the night from the park to the bus. JMHO

We are bringing a stroller for a few reasons.. I think it will be helpful to have them in the stroller at the airport and I think they may fall asleep in the parks. The double stroller that we have reclines reclines independently, so they will be much more comfortable. Ours also has a basket underneath for snacks, purchases, etc.

We have always taken our own. We like having it on late nights at the parks. If you dont have your own stroller you have to return the rental and then if you have a sleeping child you will have to carry them to the busses or cars. Sometimes the bus lines are very long and not tons of places to sit and wait.

We leave in 5 days too! I'm getting so excited!!!!

We bring our own sit n stand stroller. We love this stroller. We first used it last May at WDW when DD was 4 and DS was 5 months. It worked great! DD was able to walk, but could hop on if we were going a long distance. The baby was very comfortable in it too. My only complaint is the basket isn't very big but, we were able to keep a soft sided cooler and our diaper bag in it.

Have fun on your trip! Where are you staying? They are saying it is going to be crowded this upcoming week. Oh well, it will still be fun!
